One-time Fee

Elexio invested over one million dollars ($1,000,000) in developing a leading content management system for ministries. The one-time fee gives you access to the content management tools plus ongoing help.

Monthly Recurring Fee

The monthly recurring fee is made up of two parts; the maintenance fee and the standard assistance plan fee. For example, if the monthly recurring fee is $85, the two parts look like this; $75 for the maintenance fee and $10 for the standard assistance plan.

Maintenance Fee: As an example, if your maintenance fee is $75, this provides Elexio with $25 for minor updates to the content management tools, $25 for repair of the content management tools, and $25 for hosting of the website. For our most popular packages, this also includes the renewal of your domain name each year.

Assistance Plan Fee: Continuing with the example, this provides Elexio with $10 of your monthly recurring fee for support. With over 1,500 clients, you can see why it was necessary to develop our client extranet in order to efficiently service the thousands of support requests we receive each year.

Domain Name Purchase

Your domain name works as an address that helps people find your web site on the internet. For example, your “Ministry Name” domain name is www.ministryname.com. A good domain name makes it easy for web site visitors to remember your ministry and find your site in a flash. We include the purchase or transfer of one domain name with our most popular solutions.

Dynamic Canvas™ Designs

All Dynamic Canvas™ designs are included with your package at no charge. You use the Dynamic Canvas™ Manager to select the Dynamic Canvas™ you want to apply to your website. You can change your Dynamic Canvas™ design anytime as often as you wish for FREE!

Content Editors/Publishers

Content editors/publishers are people that you allow to update your website and make the content live for the public to view it. For simplicity, we will call them editors. You can setup an unlimited number of editors with a username and password and assign specific privileges to each editor that defines what content they are permitted to update. Here are examples of the limitations you can place on an editor: specific pages an editor is allowed to update, access to update the calendar, ability to upload pictures, etc.

Database Driven Pages

Database Driven Pages are web pages where the content of the page is generated on-the-fly from information in the database behind your website. Database Driven Pages display dynamic content like calendars, directories, picture galleries, audio/video galleries, turn-by-turn driving directions, etc. In addition to the database driven content, a Database Driven Page can also contain content that you add including pictures, text, etc.

Editable Content Pages

Editable Content Pages are pages that you create as you need them. They are blank to begin with and then you add the content including pictures, text, tables, etc. Examples of editable content pages are your homepage, about us, what to expect, ministry description pages, etc.

Storage

You get plenty of storage with your chosen solution, and more is always available. The only things that count towards your storage are the items in your files area that includes items like pictures, documents (Word, PDF etc.) audio files and video files including pod casts. The more you use your site to provide these types of digital information, the more storage you will need.

Email Accounts

Websites are our core business; however, we do offer free email with many of our website packages. Our email provides POP3 accounts that talk with software like Outlook® and Outlook Express®. Also, our email provides a web-based control panel so you can access your email from anywhere 24/7. We provide branded email so your email matches your domain name (web address). For example, if your domain name is www.firstchristianchurch.org then your email would look like pat.smith@firstchristianchurch.org.

Email Groups of 200

You receive a group of email lists (10, 30 or 100 depending on the package) that will accommodate up to 200 addresses per list. You populate the list and an email is created for those in the group. The list will disseminate that email to everyone in your list. It’s fast, and it’s free. Send out group emails to your worship team, staff or other departments. These lists are NOT private (unlike the Opt In Email Lists) as each member can see the others email addresses.

Unlimited Bandwidth / Transfer

Think of water flowing through a pipe. Bandwidth is the width of the pipe (we have a big one) and transfer is the volume of water that flows through the pipe. We don’t limit you on either one. No matter if you have 3 people or 100 people downloading information from your website, no visitor will get a message that they must wait and your organization will not incur extra bandwidth or transfer charges. You can transfer as much data as you need – every month. (If you consistently month after month use far more than the normal bandwidth or transfer used by other organizations using the same package you purchased, then we do reserve the right to talk with you about an increase in your rate; however, so far this has not happened to even one client - ever.)

Multitasking

Most content management systems (CMS) limit you to update one piece of content at a time. With Elexio’s CMS you can have multiple pieces of content open at the same time for editing. You can be in the middle of updating your calendar of events, your staff directory, and uploading a sermon when a staff member asks you if you can make a quick update on the homepage. You can jump right into updating your homepage, and when you are done, you can pickup exactly where you left off on the other areas you were updating.

Inline Page Editing

Most content management systems (CMS) make you edit your content (text and pictures) in an editor that is separate from your graphic design. Then you have to preview the page to see what it will actually look like. With Elexio’s CMS you see your content and your website graphic design at the same time. You see the webpage as your visitors will see it and you edit the content right inside the graphic design. You also have the advantage of making your content colors and style match your graphic design.

Drag & Drop Page Manager

This makes is so easy to rearrange pages on your website. Select or highlight the page you want to move, and simply drag in the page menu area to the specific folder or location you want it, and drop it off. We also offer a standard page reordering button. You have your choice – we make it easy for you to have total control over your website.

Drag & Drop File Manager

The Drag and Drop File Manager makes it really easy to upload files to your website. In the file management area of the content management tools, you set up folders to organize your files. Then with Drag and Drop you simply select and drag any number of files (pictures, audio, video, pdf and others) from a folder on your PC and drop them off over the upload area for a particular folder. Click “upload”, and it’s done. You can set up folders for each department in your ministry so everything is easily accessible. For example, you could setup a picture folder for a mission trip and then drag your pictures into the folder to upload them to use on your website.

Dynamic Content Channels

Dynamic Content Channels are specific areas in your design that you control and they automatically provide ongoing new content for your visitors. The advantage is that your website has the appearance that your staff is updating it constantly every day, when in fact the content management system is doing it for you. For example, you can set a channel to display upcoming events from your calendar. You can set a channel to show the top five religious news articles. There are 30+ built in content channels plus you can plug in an unlimited number of dynamic elements yourself.

Blogs

Blogging has become a regular form of communication for our day. Blog is short for web log. A blog is an online journal with public interaction. Your journal entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed with the newest entry at the top. Visitors read your blog comments and can then post their comments as a response.

Elexio provides you with the power to integrate Blogger into your Elexio website. Blogger will look like a regular page on your Elexio website. This is important because you keep your visitors on your website - as opposed to them leaving your website to go to a separate blogging website.

2. Blogger’s drag-and-drop interface lets you easily organize how the parts of your blog display on the web page.

When you get the Blogger integration tool from Elexio, it only takes about 30 minutes to setup each blog. You can create an unlimited number of separate Blogger accounts. Once the Blogger account is created, you can create a separate page on your website to display each blog.

Mobile Site Option

The mobile site option allows you to optimize a few pages of your site for access by mobile devices (such as the iPhone or Blackberry), which typically have a small display screen.

How the Mobile Site functions:

When pages enabled for mobile mode are viewed with a mobile device, here is what is displayed:

1. The organization name, as listed in the site's default location (under Site Options > Locations)
2. Page content with no surrounding design
3. Menu items large enough to easily select by finger touch

The mobile site menu includes only the visible pages in the "Mobile" folder along with special mobile menu items:

1. "View Normal Site" - shows at the bottom of every page, and takes the mobile user to the regular site. At the bottom of the regular site pages will be a "View Mobile Version" link
2. If a "Directions" type of page is included in the Mobile folder, it will show information based on the site's default location (under Site Options > Locations)
3. Address
4. Phone call link (will call the location's phone number)
5. Get Google Directions link
6. Get Mapquest Directions link

Events Calendars

Driving Directions

You have an unlimited number of “Direction” pages, and they will give turn-by-turn directions and estimated travel time to your specific venue. Use this feature to make sure people know how to get to your physical location(s), but you can also add direction pages for special events that will be held at another location. An example would be to associate a directions page with a particular calendar event for an upcoming retreat. Right from the calendar event, you can get directions to the retreat center.

Site Search

You can do a text search of every page on your site, and you can even search through all the documents available on your site, like MS Word and PDF files. Maybe you would like to do a quick search for “Sunday School”. It may show you three pages that have those words and two different PDF files. It’s a great way to find something quickly.

Private Intranet/Extranet

You may have an unlimited number of private areas on your website. When certain people or groups login with a user name and password, they will then gain access to pages, files or links that no one else can see. It’s a very secure way to make sure that your site doesn’t get too cluttered. Your outside visitors or members will only be able to see the things that you want them to see (an Extranet). An example could be that a member would have access to information on small groups, registration forms or a members only directory. Maybe you want a special area just for your staff or ministry leaders (an Intranet). An example of that could be that only your worship team would have access to files, calendars and mp3 audio files of the song list for the coming week, or your staff could access certain support PDF documents, forms or a staff only directory.

PDF Creator

Not all information on your site has to be on a web page – you can also display information on documents that can be accessed through a link from your site. The problem is all visitors to your site may not have the same version of software that you used in creating your documents. PDF stands for Personal Document File. Everyone can get a free download of Acrobat Reader to read the PDF’s, but you have to be able to create the PDF file. Problem solved with PDF Creator from Elexio. Page Approval System

The Page Approval System uses editors and publishers. With permission, an editor may work on a page, but only a publisher may make that page viewable to the public. Our Page Editing Approval System allows the administrator of the site to easily set up multiple publishers to approve the work of certain editors. Editors may make changes and save their work, but it won’t “go live” until a publisher approves it. An example might be youth that work on the site.
